While we prepare pre-written topics for you as a client, I want to share the formula for creating a 100% custom video script today.
(When you take professional speaking or webinar training, this is what they teach you. Nothing I share with you today is unique.)
We were asked quite a bit back in September, "Can I create a custom topic instead of the one you've sent me?"
I think the Fed's rate drop was timely news and required a quick pivot in the content strategy.
The answer is, "Yes, of course!"
As a client, you don't have to use our suggested topics. We'll write scripts with you on your monthly strategy call as part of our implementation service.
This is the time-tested formula for presenting to an audience:
1. Pick a real customer question
2. Tell them the story behind the question
3. Give them three (3) key points
Let me break this down...
I first want you to think about a real question a client or prospect asked you. That's your topic. That way, it's relevant to paying customers. You're supplying answers to existing demand from your target audience. I always suggest you think Q&A for your topics. State the question you're going to answer at the start of your video.
Next, tell the story about why the question came up. What was the client's problem, why did they ask the question, and why do you feel sharing the answer with your contact list is relevant? Take about a minute to tell the story behind the question. Facts tell, stories sell.
Last, break your answer into 3 key points. Spend about a minute on each key point. This is where you lay down your knowledge with a specific and insightful response. Each key point, by the way, is a chapter in your YouTube video and a potential short. You can also tell people what to do next at the very end, if they made it that far.
Here's a client who followed this formula in their video...
You're welcome to use this worksheet to plan your videos. We fill it out with you on your monthly strategy call if you wish to pass on the pre-written topics our subject matter experts prepare for you.
What to do next?
Start writing down the questions the people who pay you ask. You'll be surprised how many relevant topics you now have to send to your database.

P.S. I followed the formula in my message to you today.
